Meet the New Ultra: Nearly 20 Years of Mascot Evolution
Our mascot received his biggest upgrade in more than a decade.
We recently went digging through some old Ultra Web Hosting artwork and realized something: our mascot has been with us for nearly 20 years.
And, well… he’s changed a bit.
~2006: The original UWH Man. Very much a superhero of the early web.
2014: A major redesign brought him into a new generation of Ultra.
2026: Meet the newest Ultra mascot. Modern, technical, confident, and ready for what’s next.
Putting all three generations next to each other is a fun reminder of just how much has changed since we started Ultra Web Hosting in 2002.
Servers got faster.
Websites got smarter.
Hosting technology changed completely.
And apparently our mascot kept hitting the gym.
Over the coming months, you’ll start seeing the new Ultra throughout our website, social media, documentation and service pages, and occasionally showing up when something doesn’t go quite according to plan.
While this is the biggest visual change to our mascot in more than a decade, we wanted the new design to still feel unmistakably Ultra. The familiar blue and gold remain, while the character itself has evolved into something that better represents who we are today and where we’re headed next.
A lot has changed since UWH Man first showed up nearly two decades ago.
