A fast WordPress site is not one big trick. It is dozens of small ones: trimming what loads on every page, keeping bots and spam out, keeping the database lean, and making sure caching actually works. For years our team did that by hand, and leaned on a pile of single purpose plugins to fill the gaps.
Today we are releasing the plugin we always wished existed, and it is free on WordPress.org: the Ultra Web Hosting Performance Toolkit.
One plugin instead of six
Most sites end up running a caching plugin, a security plugin, a database cleaner, a heartbeat controller, and a couple of “disable this WordPress default” plugins. Every one of those adds weight and another thing to maintain. Our toolkit folds all of it into a single, lightweight plugin that stays out of your way.
What it does
Speeds up your front end. It removes the bloat WordPress ships by default: emoji scripts, version query strings, legacy head tags, block editor CSS on sites that do not need it, and an over eager Heartbeat API. You choose the level of control.
Locks the site down. Built in login protection, XML-RPC control, comment spam blocking, and an option to auto close comments on older posts, where most spam lands.
Keeps the database lean. Clean up post revisions, expired transients, spam, and orphaned data in a click, then optimize the tables.
Clears every cache from one button. Page cache, object cache, server cache, and Cloudflare, purged together. You can also purge automatically when you publish, or on a schedule.
Shows you the impact. This is the part we are proudest of. The toolkit measures what each optimization actually saves, so you are working from real numbers instead of a checklist.
For developers, there is full WP-CLI support, so you can purge, clean, and audit right from the command line.
Built on real world hosting
This is not a lab experiment. It is the same toolkit we run across our own hosting fleet, tested against real sites and real traffic. What survived that is what shipped.
